Today, one of my mentors Jac McNeil inspired me to commit to posting everyday for 30 days, imperfections and all.
This exercise is about allowing myself to be visible, which as you know can be challenging for introverts. This requires vulnerability, courage and is an opportunity for me to practice what I preach. It's not enough to know that you are an introvert. Holding up the beautiful, complex, fragile pieces of our inner world create a supernatural epoxy. We can look at this shape, this jagged curve, this smooth color and marvel at our uniqueness, and really see that we could be no other way. Each of these imperfect pieces fit together to make us perfectly whole. We can discover that it's wonderful to be me, to be you. The truth is, I write these words as much for me as for you.
It's scary to put yourself out there but so very necessary if you truly want to be seen for who you are. Beginning today, I will be writing here everyday. Showing up, as it turns out, is what helps us to move forward. I welcome you to join me in your own personal 30 days of imperfection and would love for you to share your thoughts in the comments.
To your courage,
Christian Marie Herron, is Story Mentor and Creative Consultant for entrepreneurs, thinkers and creatives.
